Roles

Bringing overseas specialists to site, role by role

Resource Visa mobilises specialist trades and engineering personnel into Australian resources and energy projects, the roles where the skill is certified, scarce, and frequently not available in the Australian labour market at the moment it is needed. Each page below covers which visa typically applies to that role, what the application has to evidence, and what usually goes wrong.

Every engagement starts with an employer. We don’t take on individuals seeking a visa on their own. If you need help with your own visa, you can search the Register of Migration Agents at mara.gov.au.

Before you start

Two things are true of almost every role on this list. The visa is rarely the only clock running, certification recognition, licensing and site inductions have lead times of their own, and they are frequently discovered late. And the strength of the application usually turns on documenting why this person, which for certified trades means the certification regime itself is the evidence.

Other roles

Don’t see the role?

This list covers the roles where specialist mobilisation turns on certification, licensing or OEM authority, not the limit of what we do. If it is a specialist skill that is not readily available in the Australian labour market, the framework is the same. Tell us the job and we’ll give you an honest read on whether it fits.
